Vintage TOOTSIETOY F-86 Sabre Jet Airplane 2 Piece Body 1950
This is a vintage, die cast, TOOTSIETOY, F-86 Sabre Jet, that measures 3 5/8″.
This jet was the answer to the Soviet Mig-15 and was the United States first swept wing trans-sonic jet aircraft. It proved its metal, serving in the Korean conflict. It was successful enough that during its 7, year service career (1949-1956) more than 7,000 were produced.
This one is in fair to good condition considering its age. It is not perfect. The pics show the condition better than I can tell it.
If you are a collector of vintage die cast toys, this is a nice addition to your collection. If you are a restorer of such items, then this one is perfect for you.
